Outdoor Bouldering Area

Tired of being stuck inside? Wish you could climb outdoors without the 3 to 4 hour drive? Well, we've got a pretty good solution. In addition to our 110 foot outdoor climbing wall, we have a real boulder outside to climb. (Ok it's not a real boulder, but it's close enough.) It looks, feels, and tastes just like the real thing with top outs and all. Below you can see a few pictures.

Here are some details:
• Height: 10 to 15 feet
How big: Huge! There is over 1,700 square feet of climbing.
• Terrain type: STEEP! Roofs, overhangs, bulges, etc. Everything can be topped out with a walk off or down climbed.
• Climbing season: As long as the weather will let us. The way the winters are around here, we could be bouldering into January and February. It is also lighted for night climbing.
• Landing surface: Chopped rubber for your falling pleasure.

A Few Rules to keep in mind if you are planning on using the boulder.

• To climb on the boulder you must be at least 15 years old, lead certified, or an Upper Limits member.
• You must use a crash pad at all times. You can use your own or rent one from us.
• You must have a spotter at all times. If you are unsure how to spot properly, a staff member can give you an orientation.
