This two hour class teaches new climbers how to toprope, the basic form of roped climbing. Rock Gym 101 provides an introduction to indoor rock climbing, equipment usage, safety procedures, and belay instruction. After the class, students will have the proper knowledge and technique to climb and belay indoors. You do not have to climb in this class. Minimum age: 15 yrs.

Rock Gym 101
• 1-9 Participants—$30 per person
• 10-19 Participants—$25 per person
• 20 or more—$20 per person (does not include rental shoes)
• Tuesday Night 6 - 8 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to Noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Other dates and times available by appointment.
Includes two hours of instruction, climbing, rental harness, belay device, and shoes (shoes are not included for groups of 20+, gym shoes are fine).
Reservations and a $15 deposit per person required.

Open Climbing
For those who will be climbing and not taking a class
. One belayer for every 4 to 5 climbers is recommended. Belayers must participate in a Rock Gym 101 class or pass a belay proficiency test.
• Monday - Friday— 10 or more participants $10.00 per person ($2 discount)
• Saturday - Sunday— 10 or more participants $12.00 per person ($2 discount)

• Harness Rental—$3.00
• Belay Device Rental—$3.00
• Shoes (optional, gym shoes are fine)—$4
